Video Shooting Training in Sofia - Digital Horizons: Empowering Youth Through Video Storytelling
“Participants developed essential filmmaking skills through hands-on training in camera work, composition and real-world video production.”
An interactive three-day training on video production was successfully organized in Sofia, Bulgaria, as part of the Digital Horizons project. Hosted by Association “MoCactus,” the training brought together participants from partner organizations to develop practical skills in video shooting and storytelling.
Throughout the program, participants explored the fundamentals of video production, including technical equipment, camera settings, shot types and composition. Key filmmaking principles such as the rule of thirds, line of action, camera angles and movement were introduced, providing a solid foundation for creating visually engaging content.
The training combined theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice. Participants worked on sound recording techniques, lighting setups and interview exercises, gaining real-world experience in handling professional video production processes. These practical sessions helped strengthen both technical skills and creative confidence.
A highlight of the training was the final practical project, where participants collaborated in teams to plan, shoot and present their own video productions. This experience enhanced teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills, while reinforcing the learning outcomes of the activity.
The Video Shooting Training in Sofia played a key role in supporting the project’s goal of empowering participants with digital and media production skills, contributing to the broader impact of the Digital Horizons initiative.
