Video Editing Training in Skopje - Digital Horizons: Empowering Youth Through Video Storytelling

“From raw footage to final story, participants mastered video editing workflows and post-production techniques using professional tools.”

A three-day Video Editing Training was organized in Skopje, North Macedonia, as part of the Digital Horizons project. The training focused on post-production techniques and introduced participants to professional video editing workflows using DaVinci Resolve. Participants explored the complete editing process, including importing and organizing footage, cutting and sequencing clips, applying transitions and working with audio elements. The sessions also covered visual enhancements such as color correction, titles, graphics and subtitles.

The training emphasized practical learning, allowing participants to work directly with editing software and develop their own short video projects. Through guided exercises, they gained hands-on experience in transforming raw footage into structured and engaging visual stories.

Special attention was given to multicamera editing techniques, enabling participants to manage and synchronize multiple video sources effectively. This skill is essential for producing more complex video projects such as interviews, events and studio productions.

The activity concluded with final editing projects, where participants presented their work and received feedback. The training significantly contributed to improving participants’ digital competences and strengthened their confidence in video post-production.
